Welcome and congratulations on your pregnancy!

I am married with two young boys and an elderly pug. I have lived in Red Deer most of my life and I love this city. I have had the honour of serving families in this area through both hospital and home births, with doctors and midwives.

​

My path as a birth doula began in 2010 after my first son was born. It was a difficult personal journey for me.  Having an amazing doula support me through my second pregnancy and birth, literally changed my life. Through her guidance and support, and the training I have received since, I have found my passion. I was blessed to stay at home with my boys since they were born and was able to complete my doula training in the spring of 2015. I have attended DONA training, Breastfeeding For Doulas, and attended a Birthing From Within Workshop.

It is such a privilege to be asked to be a part of an experience as personal and powerful as birth. My goal is to support you and your partner from the first time we meet until you have your baby in your arms, and beyond. I truly believe that each woman has inner strength.  To help you find this strength, and surrender to your birth experience is an incredible joy to witness.

I fiercely believe that when a woman is safe and supported, she will feel empowered. I will help you become educated and comfortable with pregnancy, labour, breastfeeding, and ongoing early infant care.  I will unconditionally support and encourage you and your partner every step of the way on any path you choose. I am passionate about providing objective support, both emotionally and physically.

 

My hope is that all women will love their birth journey.
