My name is Laura Gauthier and I’m delighted that you are looking into doula support for your birth!

As your doula, I will provide you with information and experience so that you can make informed decisions for you and your baby. Whatever choices you make, I am always there to support you through them. Prenatally, I can provide insight and encouragement to help alleviate any fears you have about your labour and birth. I believe that birth is not something to be afraid of, but to be embraced. I provide prenatal visits, continuous physical and emotional support during labour, birth and the first hours after your baby is born, as well as postpartum visits. I am also an APPA certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist.

I am a DONA certified birth doula and a Stillbirthday Birth and Bereavement doula fluent in both English and French, and I have been supporting families through birth since 2012. I am the mother of three girls and one boy, my first born in hospital, the others born at home. I have attended a many different types of births, including VBAC, Hypnobabies, first time moms, 2nd, 3rd, and beyond. I attend both hospital births and home births.

It is my passion to help parents achieve the birth that they deserve. I will support you in any informed decision you make, and help you achieve your goals. It is my hope that all of my clients will look back on their birth experiences with nothing but satisfaction and joy. I look forward to working with you!
