Reduced-Cost Doula Program

Everyone deserves access to a birth doula, regardless of finances.

All applications are treated with care and confidentiality. There's no shame in asking for support — it's exactly why we're here.

The Red Deer Doula Association believes everyone deserves access to a birth doula, regardless of finances. Through our Reduced-Cost Doula Program, families without the extra means for a doula can hire one at a lowered cost.

How it works

Check eligibility. You'll need a lower household income, a commitment to keep your doula updated through your pregnancy, and to notify her when you're in labour.
Apply below. Fill out the form to the best of your ability. You'll hear back within about a week as to whether you've met the requirements.
Get matched. If you qualify, you'll be given a list of doulas available around your due date who have the capacity to take a reduced-cost birth.

The minimum investment for reduced-cost doula services is $150, which covers your doula's overhead costs such as gas, parking and childcare.
